The idea was to bring a sense of warmth to the factory environment. An Earthy look and light weight structure was designed. Light washes the curvy wall to allow a play of light and shadow. Canteen is naturally lit most of the year. The material pallete in this project is primarily earthen pots, brick and steel.

This artistic render show the section of the canteen in perspective. The wall and the columns are designed following the pattern of the existing columns on the boundary wall.

Over all plan of the factory set up highlighting our intervention. Cafeteria is on the top and a shaded goods loading /unloading area is on the bottom. Also market in the drawing the passive air cooler designed to cut the hot air generator by the generator.

In the front part of the factory, the roof is allowed to change its angle to accommodate extra space for movement of machinery and objects vertically. This simple mechanism pivoted around the centre adds and extra space of 2 ft'.
